I just realized that some people on #Nostr might not be aquainted with home made garlic infused olive oil. Allow me to introduce you to this:
It's very simple. Peel a few cloves of fresh garlic, put it in a jar with olive oil, shake daily for a month and then dump the oil into another container, filtering out the garlic.

Now you have olive oil that tastes absolutely heavenly! It's totally worth the wait.
heads up.

there are only 110 cases of botulism in the states every year.

but if you’re immuno compromised or feeling someone that is.

be aware.

(i still support garlic oil.)
Yes! This is why you don't want to leave the garlic in there, even though that would probably be even more delicious. 😝

You can also go with just a 2 week infusion if you're concerned with botulism.

Is there a way to do it thaf doesn't involve an extension nor logging in with my private key (yikes!)?

I want to be able to post from my normal Nostr client and since it's just posting to a relay, I feel like that should be possible...
You can login with an extension, or we offer nsec, or create a new profile. All the options available 🤙
I didn't realize there was an option to create a new profile. I can give that a try. Thanks.

The website just lists the browser extension or private key, but it turns out the help page about "New to nostr?" isn't really a help page, it's a "create a new identity" page.

If "New to Nostr?" was labeled something like "create account", it would be easier for people to navigate, whether or not they are new to nostr.
Terminology aside, what I really want is to be able to post from Amathyst and not have to use the website to view the data that is on relays.

It's cool to have a web server for people who prefer that. I just wish it weren't the only interface. That's all.
@seth is this possible?
You can speed this up by simply warming the oil in a clean pot with a several garlic cloves. Peeled but not cut or smashed. Warm it for about 10 min on the lowest stove setting. Then let it cool and bottle it back up.
If we ever run out, I'll give that a try. We don't want to have to go without this staple for longer than a few days.

We usually keep at least two bottles in circulation and start the next batch when we get down to about a bottle's worth of oil between the two containers. So far we've never run completely out, but there was a close call once. Once!
If you enjoy a little heat you can add red pepper flakes, though it is difficult to get just right. Also gives it a cool red color
