Next house to me is up for sale. I talked to prospective buyers today. They looked in their late 40s, and they said that they had a 7-year-old son. Then they asked if I had kids. I said, yes, a daughter, she's 33 and lives nearby, but separately. They looked *astonished*. WTF guys, is having kids when you're 40 the new normal now in America? Think of your health, ladies!
@Pete Zaitcev yes because having kids when you're 25 is playing right into the hands of the patriarchy
@Pete Zaitcev such is the state of all western democracies
@Kennedy The problem is, their longevity is only up slightly. I know a woman who had kids at 52. She's completely exhausted from dealing with them. She's going to croak before they are through college.
@Pete Zaitcev i have a friend who is a woman in her 40s and one time she told me most her friends around her age are desperate to have children. i guess i must do it, for my country, i must impregnate all of them
