@npub1st2…l2wu9 It is very difficult to sell people talking in rooms to come up with intelligent solutions to problems now. Not to audiences mind, if you set your expectations correctly you could easily find an audience that buys it (as much as I dislike parts of The Orville, it is genuinely full of love for Trek weirdly enough, and it did well enough), but most companies want to compete with Avengers Endgame in profit, not a normal successful show or movie.
I feel like the closest good "recent" (haha it's been ~7 1/2 years) series to a format even slightly akin to this would be Girls' Last Tour, but that's a massive stretch. The girls hardly solve things in most cases, just experience whatever they come by. It's at least a series of exploration and discovery, so that's something.
